Mapping and Navigation updates for Jersey City, NJ

Challenge:

Need to maintain updated mapping of roadway network

Response:

• Coordinated between the city and the various mapping apps (Google Maps, Apple Maps, TomTom, Here, Lyft, Uber, and Waze) to implement change of one way direction of a set of streets.

• Corrected coordinates of various addresses in the city on Google Maps.

• Coordinated between Jersey City and other public agencies to establish correct naming of roadways falling under ambiguous jurisdictions

• Advised city on strategies by which to mitigate congestion caused by through traffic.

• Streamlined submission and tracking of mapping change requests

• Enhanced customer service for roadway navigation app users

• Reduction in unnecessary traffic on side street
